I write the guides on this site. I build and maintain websites for home service businesses in the US, which is also what Vladier does for a living.
Why these guides exist
Most advice written for contractors is published by companies selling the thing they recommend: the ads, the SEO retainer, the leads. Vladier sells websites and nothing else, so these guides can say plainly when a tool is worth paying for and when it isn't.
How the guides are written
- Every claim comes from a primary source, linked at the end of the guide.
- Steps in Google, Apple or Microsoft tools are checked on the live interface and dated.
- Prices are read on the seller's own pricing page and dated.
- Figures about trade websites come from our own checks, published in the State of American Trades Websites report.
- We don't publish statistics we can't trace to a named source.

Corrections
Platforms change their rules and their menus. If something in a guide is out of date or wrong, email [email protected] and it gets fixed, with the date on the page updated.
